APS-C format sensors have become an attractive alternative to large-format sensors in recent years because data rate has increased. With pixel sizes down to 2.5 µm, cameras with a resolution of more than 60 megapixels can also be realized with this format, opening the door to high-end imaging applications.
For outstanding image quality in industry, a high-quality chip and a suitable high-resolution lens are essential. Sill Optics presents a new telecentric lens series for APS-C format sensors.
For the maximum sensor diagonal of 32.6 mm, the lenses enable a full resolution of up to 2.74 µm with monochrome cameras. For a sensor diagonal of up to 28.9 mm, a pixel size of 2.5 µm can even be fully resolved.
The new lenses in the series with magnification factors between 0.2 and 0.45 can be used for line scan cameras and area scan sensors.
Thanks to their color-corrected design, they are not only used in the monochrome range (R, G, B), but also in combination with color cameras. For sensors with Bayer pattern filters, the full resolution of 2.74µm or 2.5µm can be used. Another feature is the high transmission in the near infrared range (850-950nm), so that high-resolution NIR images are possible with a small adjustment of the working distance.
The series is completed by two existing designs with magnifications of 0.7x and 1.0x. We are happy to realize special developments with a different image scale as a customer-specific design.
When connecting to the camera, you can choose between an M42x1 with a flange focal distance of 12 mm and an F-mount connection (Nikon bayonet) as standard. Like all our high-quality lenses, this series also has a manually adjustable aperture.
